Steph here. These photos are so special to me, so I wanted to share them with you, too. That first photo? That’s Bethany. We met in college and instantly bonded over our love for you. Fast forward three years, and we left NC together and flew all the way to TX to go to #reptourarlington (this was also Bethany’s first flight- she was a nervous wreck but it was 13/10 worth it).
Those next pics? Those are the tots (tots? What?). Bethany actually put the group together via twitter, and while most group chats die out within a week, this one stuck. They have become some of my closest friends, and strongest support system- here’s a toast to my real friends, right? 🥂 We live all over the US (and even Kaiya way out in Canada), but somehow it works. We all met “in real life” in Texas, rented an air bnb and attended rep tour Arlington night one and two. I will always hold onto the memory of getting ready with these girls- curling each other’s hair, putting glitter on each other’s faces, drawing 13 on one another’s hands. I hold onto those memories.
Thank you, @taylorswift for your music. For bringing complete strangers together, and turning us into best friends. I don’t know if I will ever be able to thank you in person, but I wanted to thank you on here, in the meantime. Thank you, 13 million times over❤️
You speak up for what you believe in & for what’s right. And, you do it in such an eloquent way that it leaves each of us wanting to be better versions of ourselves. Today, you were fearless. Even when you probably had the voice of the media in the back of your mind… how they probably would portray it because they are always so predictable, you did it because it was something you believed in. You knew it was something important….. soemthing that needed to be addressed…. something that shouldn’t be made a mockery of….. but probably will & you still did it. I applaud you for that & I know so many others can say the same. You’ve always been a passionate leader in our eyes & I really hope one day the rest of the world can see it that way too.
